President Obama congratulates President Ben Ali on Independence Day

CARTHAGE, March 19, 2010 (TAP) - On the celebration of the 54th anniversary of Independence, President Zine el Abidine Ben Ali received a message of congratulations from U.S. President Barack Obama, expressing his best wishes to the Head of State and the Tunisian people. The U.S. President highlighted in this message the traditional relations between the two countries which date back to over 200 years and expressed satisfaction to endeavour, together with President Ben Ali, to further reinforce and develop these relations.
